APAR status

  • Closed as new function.

Error description

  • PSF is adding a new ABEND code to help customers quickly
determine why PSF may abend in IOSVIRBA or APSCPCIA when
using a CHANNEL ATTACHED printer in z/OS V2.1.0 and
    above.
PSF requires that the IHAASVT control block be BELOW the
    LINE to drive channel printers.
ABEND024 RC0207 RC207 is being created to alert the customer
that IHAASVT cannot be located above the line.
PSF message APS6517I will also be issued.

Local fix

  • Make sure that the current DIAGxx parmlib member does not
specify CBLOC VIRTUAL31(IHAASVT). If it does, an IPL will
be required to set it to VIRTUAL24.

An ABEND0C4 PIC10 may occur in PSF PCI module APSCPCIA when
    starting a channel-attached printer.

PSF requires that the IHAASVT control block be BELOW the
    LINE to drive channel printers.

Ensure that the current DIAGxx parmlib member does not
specify CBLOC VIRTUAL31(IHAASVT). If it does, an IPL will
be required to remove IHAASVT from VIRTUAL31.
