Error description

• FlashCopy manager data set ...NEW.DEVICE DATA shows 99999 as the
  maximum number of cylinders in a volume.  ...NEW.CONFIG.WORK,
  WOITHDRAW, ESTABLISH and ... CURRENT.CGE.TABLE, CONFIG,
  DATA all show an incorrect amount for cylinders for EAV
  volumes.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: FlashCopy Manger supported EAVs by      *
  *                      showing '9999', for the number of       *
  *                      cylinders if the actual number of       *
  *                      cylinders was greater than 65520.       *
  *                      This worked as long as all EAV volumes  *
  *                      were the same size.  If the volumes     *
  *                      of a different size, the source target  *
  *                      volume matching could match volumes     *
  *                      incorrectly.                            *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  FlashCopy Manager will now show the correct number of clyinders
  for each EAV and will properly match EAV volume when there are
  EAV volumes with different number of cylinders.
  

Problem conclusion

• Full support for EAV volumes is now in FlashCopy Manager.
