Error description
Provide z/OS support to exploit coupling facility operational level of CFLEVEL21 (z13s, z13 GA2 processors). Coupling facility list structure users can receive (via XES List Services) both the number of in-use entries per list and the number of in-use data elements per list for monitoring individual list storage usage in a list structure.

Applications need in-use counts of list entries and data elements for a list returned by the CF and XES List Services on list services invocations. Currently only one type of count (list entries or data elements, not both) is returned by the CF and XES List Services.

Comments
This APAR provides the z/OS support for exploiting new CFCC function in coupling facilities (CF) defined on an IBM z13s and z13 GA2 processor at CFLEVEL 21. The following new function is available to z/OS V2R2 users of coupling facilities at CFLEVEL 21 on z13 GA2 and Z13s processors in a parallel sysplex configuration: Enhancements to XES List Services (IXLLIST, IXLLSTC, IXLLSTE) to return both in-use list entry counts and in-use data element counts for lists in a coupling facility list structure residing in a CF at CFLEVEL=21. This enhancement allows applications to determine both list entry and data element usage for an individual list which can be used by the application for storage management, reporting and monitoring. When a z/OS V2R2 system is connected to a CF at CFLEVEL=21, z/OS will provide a unique "system name" to the CF for it to identify itself as to the CEC. The CFCC will use the provided system name in an SCLP Event Type 11 command it issues to identify itself to the CEC. There is no direct installation dependency between this APAR and the CFCC support - either can be installed without the presence of the other. However, both must be present for list entry and data element counts for lists to be returned.
