Error description
External Symptoms: MsgIRA200E, Auxiliary Storage Shortage, msgEDC6006E The raise() function was issued for the signal SIGABRT, or msgCEE5207E The signal SIGABRT was received, is issued when trying to parse a large xml file. Impact To Customer: The parse will fail. Analysis: When running in 64bit, depending on the size of the xml file, the parse may consume too much above the bar storage, causing issues with auxiliary storage. The msgIEF032I in the joblog can be used to identify how much above the bar storage was used. Running with region=0K, or unlimited, exposed the usage when running the XALAN sample job. When running in 31bit the application may run out of below the bar storage. Verification Steps: 1. Parsing large xml file. 2. Language Environment Storage Report Run Time Option can be used to verify the heap size used. 3. Sample jobs testXSLT, DOMCount, and SAXCount when run against the xml file will show similar heap usage. ADDITIONAL SYMPTOMS: U4038 U4039 EDC6006E
