    *                 automation during primary space management   *
    *                 on SMS managed volumes when the              *
    *                 eligibility of the file fails                *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: FSR records for migration and           *
    *                      expiration are not cut when a           *
    *                      file fails eligibility checks           *
    *                      for primary space management on         *
    *                      SMS managed volumes.  For               *
    *                      example, ARC0734I RC 53, REAS 00        *
    *                      is issued for a a file that is          *
    *                      expiration eligible but no back         *
    *                      up exists, but no corresponding         *
    *                      FSR record is cut.                      *

    FSR records are not created for ARC0734I inidcated errors

  • New function provided.
    Create FSR records for ARC0734I indicated errors during
    primary space management of SMS volumes. FSRs will not be cut
    for data sets that are not processed because the low threshold
    for the volume was reached.
    
    To specify that the
    FSR records are to be recorded use the followign patch:
    PATCH .MGCB.+EF BITS(......1.)

    Enabling FSR records to be recorded for errors, reported by

    To specify that FSR records to be recorded for errors,
    reported by message ARC0734I0,  found during SMS data
    set eligibility checking for primary space management, issue
    the following PATCH command:
    PATCH .MGCB.+EF BITS(......1.)
    
    To specify that the FSR records are not to be recorded,
    issue the following PATCH command:
    PATCH .MGCB.+EF BITS(......0.)
    
    By default, the FSR records are not recorded when an
    ARC0734I message is reported during SMS data set
    eligibility checking for primary space management.
