'z/OS V2R2.0 DFSMSdss Storage Administration' (SC23-6868-xx) will need to be updated as follows: In Chapter 19: Under the heading, 'DFSMSdss stand-alone services', Replace the second bullet with: Supports all supported z System IBM tape libraries and tape subsystems. Under the heading, 'Preparing to run the stand-alone services program', Replace the third and forth paragraphs with: 'The Stand-Alone Services program operates on an IBM z System processor in z/Architecture mode. The Stand-Alone Services program can run in a z/OS LPAR or in a virtual machine under z/VM in an LPAR with a general purpose machine processor (CP).' 'The Stand-Alone Services program operates in z/Architecture architectural mode and requires 2MB of real storage.' Remove the following text: Virtual Machine (VM) Note: To Specify EC mode while the Stand- Alone Services program is running under VM/370, enter: CP SET ECMODE ON Remove the section entitled 'Running stand-alone services in 370 mode'. For the heading, 'Running stand-alone services in XA or ESA mode', Rename this section to 'Running stand-alone services.'
