Error description

  • 8.1.8.000 server can crash or report ANR2013E if a 8.1.7
    Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments datamover node sends a
    ANE4133I client event.
    
    
    If a 8.1.7 data mover node sends client event ANE4133I to
    8.1.8.000 server,
    there are 2 symptoms that can occur
    
    1. Server can crash after reporting in activity log:
    
    xx/xx/xxxx xx:xx:xx              (Session: 123456,
    Node: DATA_MOVER_NODE_NAME) Total number of virtual
    machines with no changed data : 0
    (SESSION: 123456)
    
    Notice that between "date/time" and "(Session:"  the ANE4133I
    is not being reported.

    2. This error message may be seen:
    ANR2013E The activity log process has encountered unexpected
    output data in the console output stream.  The process will be
    restarted.
    
    
    
    It only occurs when processing client event ANE4133I, which is
    issued by IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments starting
    at level 8.1.7.
    
    
    Initial Impact: High

    DISABLE EVENTS ACTLOG ANE4133 NODENAME=*
