IJ21245: ILMT UPGRADE FAILS DUE TO DATABASE SCHEMA UPDATE ISSUE CAUSED BY INVALID ENTRY IN SOFTWARE CATALOG

Error description

• During ILMT upgrade to the latest version (9.2.17), when
  accessing ILMT UI for the first time after new binaries have
  been deployed, the following message is displayed indicating
  ILMT database schema update step:

  an invalid item in ILMT software catalog with the FLEXPOINT

Local fix

• 1)
  Stop ILMT application.
  
  2)
  Backup ILMT database.
  
  3)
  Run the
  following SQL query against ILMT database:
  
  delete from
  sam.metrics where code_name = 'FLEXPOINT'
  
  4)
  Start ILMT
  application and access ILMT UI. Complete the schema update
  step.
  
  5)
  Upload the latest ILMT catalog once again - this
  needs to be forced by uploading it one more time from ILMT UI -
  "Management > Catalog Upload". See:
