APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When attempting to log in to a Maximo Anywhere application
    through a VPN\proxy or slow connection a timeout may occur
    causing the login to fail with an invalid user name\password or
    unauthorized error, or hang at the loading screen.
    
    When this timeout happens between the device and the
    mobilefirst server it leaves the device in an unstable state
    preventing a correct login to the application.
    
    Steps to reproduce:
    
    1. Update the initOptions.js timeout to a lower value that will
    timeout out before a succesful connection is made, for example
    1 second (1000ms)
    
    2. Rebuild\Deploy the Maximo Anywhere applications
    
    3.  Attempt to login to the application, when the
    timeout\disconnect occurs, and you try to log in again you
    could be presented with one of the above errors, or become
    stuck on the loading screen.
    
    Expected Results:  To fall back to local authentication if
    disconnected and be able to re-send the login successfully if
    connected
