Accredited Education Institutions may be eligible for special pricing

With the release of IBM Passport Advantage Agreements on 01 February 2023, Academic Volume Option terms have been integrated into the into the applicable sections of the Agreement without the need to sign a separate Attachment.

Note: New terms for existing PA clients are effective 01 May 2023

Under the terms of the revised IBM Passport Advantage Agreements, EPs must be used for academic or administrative purposes only and may not be used for commercial purposes To participate Client must be an Accredited Education Institution. An Accredited Education Institution is defined as a public or privately funded body, non-profit making, and not owned by a commercial organization. The institution may take the form of a:

  1. university or college offering education leading to nationally recognized qualifications or levels of academic achievement, accredited by a regional or national accrediting council or commission or appropriate government agency or board of education of the state or country in which the educational institution is located
  2. teaching hospital associated with an accredited institution
  3. research institution, or consortia comprised of accredited institutions, or
  4. primary, elementary or secondary level school, either publicly or privately funded, where education is the principal objective leading to nationally recognized qualifications or levels of academic achievement, accredited to deliver education by national or regional councils or agencies
