IBM Z Publications Library Archive
This archive is made available as as a courtesy to z/OS customers. The listed releases are out of service and all content is offered "as-is."
Download Individual PDFs
The following links will take you to a page where you can pick and choose to download individual PDFs, and in some cases BookManager books. If what you want isn't here, try the IBM Publications Center
Download Adobe Indexed PDF Collections
Adobe Indexed PDF Collections contain all the content in a particular release and provide an excellent method for searching for information offline. In addition to containing all the library PDFs, each collection includes an html page that lists all PDFs by title. Each collection, which is packaged as a Windows .zip file, is equipped with an Adobe Acrobat Catalog to provide a full text search mechanism for all content across the collection. To search the content, download the package, unzip the file, then open the included *.pdx file with Adobe Acrobat Reader. (Note that other PDF readers might work but were not tested.) You might need to accept a security warning and then switch to the Search window. Be sure to check out the advanced search options, too.
Additional Information and tools
- The product documentation for current product offerings can be found in IBM Knowledge Center.
- Older documentation is typically found in the IBM Publications Center. Users can either use the IBM Publications Center directly, or they can use the IBM Softcopy Librarian for an easy way to download and maintain whole collections of documentation.
Reading and Searching Content
- Once you have downloaded content in BookManager or PDF format, z/OS users can host the content locally using Library Server for z/OS, or they can use the IBM Softcopy Reader, Windows Reader and Acrobat Reader to read and search content on your laptop or workstation.
