This document supports z/OS and explains the LDAP server. The LDAP server supports Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and runs as a stand-alone daemon. It is based on a client/server model that provides client access to an LDAP server. The LDAP server provides an easy way to maintain directory information in a central location for storage, updating, retrieval, and exchange. This document is intended to assist LDAP administrators. LDAP administrators should be experienced and have previous knowledge of directory services. It is also intended for anyone that will be implementing the directory service.
