Inside the Dyre Wolf malware campaign

The Dyre Wolf is a new cyber campaign that has used the popular Dyre, or Dyreza, malware to steal sums upwards of a million dollars per attack from unsuspecting companies by directly targeting corporate bank accounts.

There are several preventive measures an organization can take to stop or limit the risk of Dyre malware, including:

  • Strip executables from email attachments.

  • Maintain current antivirus or endpoint protection.

  • Use two-factor authentication with banking sites.
