Daryl is an outstanding example of how close IBM product team collaboration with academic researchers drives product impact. He is intensely active in six CAS projects, and supervises four graduate students on a daily basis. He led a team of undergraduate and graduate students who implemented core features for ARM64 required by an IBM client. He further shared his expertise and advocates for IBM technologies by organizing a runtimes workshops at CASCON for each of the past three years, and also serves on the CASCON 2019 program committee. His involvement has resulted in 17 publications, three prototypes and two IBM hires.
