Colin Thompson

Northern EMEA leader, Cloud Provider Partners and Programs

Colin has over 8 years’ experience within VMware, focused on VMware’s Cloud Provider business; for the last 3 years as Northern EMEA leader, Cloud Provider Partners and Programs, managing a team responsible for over 1,500 Cloud Providers across the Region. Prior to joining VMware Colin has over 20 years’ experience in sales and management working for Service Providers and Enterprise Software businesses; including: working with Service Providers to develop new service offerings, as well as supporting the “go to market” of these new services.

Chris Wynne

Cloud Services Technical Sales Manager

Chris leads the UK Cloud Platform technical presales team that provides a specialist and dedicated focus on ensuring clients implement the best solution to address their business objectives. Chris has vast experience within IBM, having joined as a youth trainee customer engineer, developing his skills as technology evolved including network, mainframe, outsourcing. More recently Chris has leveraged his technology skills in offering development and as a presales consultant helping address clients changing needs. Chris is a keen mentor and active part of IBM's recruitment outreach into schools , apprentice and graduate schemes.

Alex Quinn

Alex is an experienced Cloud Tech Seller who works with enterprise clients to create infrastructure as a service solutions to business challenges. Over his 12 years at IBM Alex has worked in commercial management, consulting and offerings management across DC migration, Mobile and Cloud. Alex's focus is on using IaaS and IBM Cloud for VMware Services as a platform for application modernisation and helping clients with their journey to Cloud.

Mark Osborn

Mark is an experience technology leader passionate about enabling organisations to exceed their business goals through digital and cloud transformation. Mark's began his career coaching corporations with their first tentative steps to the Internet. He gained invaluable experience in Asia, managing dot-coms in Singapore, moving then to a London-based digital start-up, which was acquired by IBM in 2003. At IBM he has worked in sales, services and technical leadership roles in digital and Cloud technology, both in Europe and Asia. Mark currently leads IBM's Cloud Architect team in Europe.

Chris McBrayne

With over 21 years experience in technology, he spent the first 10 consulting cross industry in large scale IT transformation, migration and IT strategy. Over the past 11 years Chris has led 5 different IBM business lines most recently running IBM Cloud Services and Cloud Platform.  Experienced in Cloud strategy and technology including design thinking, VMWare, Object Storage, IaaS, PaaS and containers, Chris has spent the past 5 years helping his Clients unlock the benefits of the Cloud.

Brian is an experienced cloud tech seller who has worked with enterprise customers creating solutions that span infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, software as a service and Watson AI. Now Brian has a focus on helping customers adopt container technologies, as well as focusing on application modernisation in its many formats.

Dr Holly Cummins

Worldwide Development Leader

Holly Cummins is the worldwide development practice lead for the IBM Cloud Garage. As part of the Cloud Garage, Holly delivers technology-enabled innovation to clients across a range of industries, from banking to catering to retail to NGOs. She has led projects to count fish, help a blind athlete run ultra-marathons in the desert solo, improve health care for the elderly, and change how city parking works. Holly is also a Java Champion, IBM Q Ambassador, and JavaOne Rock Star. Before joining the IBM Cloud Garage, she was Delivery Lead for the WebSphere Liberty Profile (now Open Liberty). Holly co-authored Manning’s Enterprise OSGi in Action. She is an active speaker and has spoken at JavaOne, Devoxx, JavaZone, JFokus, The ServerSide Java Symposium, JAX London, QCon, GeeCon, and the Great Indian Developer Summit, as well as a number of user groups.

Ben Foakes

Following a background in Extreme Sports in the late 90’s, Ben’s work has spanned roles from Director, Editor and Colourist to Post Supervisor, Technical Consultant and Company Founder, launching and running media businesses, notably including London post production facility Sequence Post and next-generation Online Media Services cloud provider, BASE Media Cloud. Since early career highlights editing BAFTA winning live Formula 1 for ITV, Ben’s portfolio of production, post production and management credits has encompassed projects from BBC promos, Top Gear Live TV ads, James Bond end titles, Channel 4 documentaries and Jessie J live shows, to flagship drama series, SUSPECTS for Channel FIVE. In his current role, leading BASE Media Cloud, Ben’s team of cloud specialists has been responsible for deploying innovative ‘Hub & Spoke’ cloud storage and integrated SaaS solutions for clients including Formula E, The FA, Little Dot Studios, ITV, Objective Media Group and PwC, amongst a long list of global platform users.
