Abraham Thomas, Managing Director, IBM Singapore
Abraham Thomas was appointed to the role of Country Managing Director of IBM Singapore in October 2018 where he is responsible for the business and operations of IBM in Singapore. Prior to this, he was IBM ASEAN Global Business Services Managing Partner from July 2015 to September 2017. He was also the Country General Manager, IBM South Africa from July 2012 to end June 2015.
He first began his career with IBM in 1986 as Territory Representative for the Small and Medium Business solutions unit. In his 32 years with IBM, Abraham has undertaken many roles including product management, sales, marketing and various management positions in ASEAN/South Asia and in Asia Pacific. He was recognized by IBM’s Hundred Per Cent Club for exceeding his sales quota for eight consecutive years and was also awarded the 1997 IBM ASEAN/South Asia General Manager’s Award for outstanding business performance. He has also been selected for three Golden Circles, IBM’s premier recognition event.
Abraham is a Business Administration graduate from the National University of Singapore. He was an active executive committee member of the Singapore Computer Society and has organized social networking activities to promote interaction within the local IT industry. He was also a National Council Member of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). He was named one of the Top 10 IT Executives of the Year in 2001, in a poll run by the IT Nation Business Review magazine.

Christopher Yeo, CEO, Sentient.io
Christopher Yeo is the CEO of Sentient.io. He graduated with a ﬁrst-class honours degree in computer science and mathematics and did his PhD in Decision Sciences on a three-year scholarship. He started his career as an ofﬁcer in the Republic of Singapore Airforce and worked in the Chief Defence Scientist Ofﬁce of the Ministry of Defence.
Before completing his PhD, Christopher started his ﬁrst start-up which developed one of the ﬁrst internet-based supply chain software. He also did a stint as the CTO for rednano.sg, Singapore’s local search and directory engine under the umbrella of Singapore Press Holdings, and was part of transformative management focussed on commercialising AI and other software technologies in NUS Enterprise and Exploit Technologies, the technology commercialisation arm of A*STAR. He was also a co-founder of media analytics start-up, aSpecial Media which uses AI to proﬁle consumer interests based on the content that they read.
He is most recently known for his enterprising inception, sentient.io, an AI and Data Platform company which enables software developers to very quickly AI-enable software applications by consuming AI algorithms via APIs. He is also working with A*Star, which has taken an equity stake in Sentient.io, to create a wide breath of AI algorithms that will be taken into the global market. His passion for AI, mathematics, cloud computing, and search technologies keeps him busy designing and coding software up till this day.
