Data Centric Systems and the Roadmap to Exascale (NDA required)

Dave Turek, IBM VP Exascale Computing, will present “Data Centric Systems and the Roadmap to Exascale”. The need for efficiency in managing, analyzing, and computing for data intensive workloads is becoming critical. This session will describe how the traditional HPC and Technical Computing market must move towards a data focused approach to managing the required intermix of modeling, simulation and analytics. This will be required in order to successfully deliver innovations for the next generation of analytics, technical computing and cognitive computing.

Blue Gene Consortium

The Blue Gene Consortium Meeting hosted by IBM at SC13 is an open meeting for all those interested in the Computational Science being done on Blue Gene systems throughout the world. The meeting brings together both current users of Blue Gene systems and those interested in learning more about such systems. A feature of the meeting is the short talks by scientists using Blue Gene systems to develop new science. IBM System x portfolio overview and directions (NDA required)

This session will review the System x portfolio for HPC including IBM NeXtScale™ System, System x rack servers, eX5, GPFS Storage Server, Intelligent Cluster w/Platform Computing, iDataPlex™, PureFlex, GPU and Intel Xeon Phi, and IBM Platform HPC for management, monitoring and scheduling. In addition, the session will cover future announcements.
