Wendy Chin, Director of Marketing & Communications, IBM ASEAN

Wendy Chin

Wendy was appointed Director of Marketing and Communications, IBM ASEAN in January 2010. In this role she oversees regional marketing and strategy, program management and campaign execution differentiating and elevating IBM’s brand value in the marketplace.

Prior to this, Wendy was Director, Marketing and Solutions, General Business, IBM Growth Market Unit (GMU). In this role she established a unique management system platform for tighter linkage between sales and marketing through joint decisions on key sales plays selection and market execution. She also led the development and deployment of IBM’s GMU geo-expansion marketing blueprint, midmarket transformation and integrated offerings management for General Business.

Before taking on the GMU Marketing position Ms Chin was the Executive for Solutions Sales in Asia Pacific. She led a team of territory partner managers in engagements and partnership with global and regional Independent Solution Vendors and System Integrators to jointly bring the best of breed industry and infrastructure solutions to market in this role.

Ms. Chin started her career with IBM Singapore in 1985 as a systems engineer for mid-range systems. Throughout her career she has held a variety of sales, marketing, technical solution, and business operations manager positions in Singapore, ASEAN and Asia Pacific primarily focused in Small and Medium Enterprises.

Ms Chin is a graduate of National University of Singapore, holding a degree in Computer Science and Economics.

Tony Hocevar

Tony Hocevar is the IBM Marketing Executive responsible for Business Analytics marketing across Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle-East/Africa and Central & Eastern Europe and previously was Vice President of Marketing for Clarity Systems. Tony has extensive hands-on experience building marketing teams as well as executing all aspects of the marketing function including demand generation, product marketing and brand awareness. Tony holds an MBA in Marketing from the Richard Ivey School of Business, a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Waterloo, and is a registered Professional Engineer.

Vince Leat, Enterprise Marketing Management, Business Unit Executive , IBM Software Group ASEAN

Vince Leat

Vince is IBM’s Enterprise Marketing Management - Business Unit Executive - Software Group ASEAN. He leads a sales team that focuses on helping clients improve their customers experience by offering the right product, at the right time at the right place.

He has worked and lived in Asia (Hong Kong and Singapore) for the past 11 years. Vince has been engaged by many Financial Services organizations throughout ASEAN, China, Korea, Japan, India, Pakistan and the Middle East transforming Marketing, Business Intelligence and CRM.

Prior to moving to Asia Vince was a banking executive in Australia for over 25 years managing functional areas including Finance, Treasury, Product Development, Strategic Planning, Credit Cards and Marketing with one of Australia's leading banks. As Head of Marketing he was a visionary leader in Business Analytics and Customer Care and Insight developing a best in class data warehouse, analytical and customer communications environment that produced superior business returns.

During his time at IBM, Vince has helped many banking customers design and implement their Information Management environments. He has also helped customers leverage those assets to better understand customers, increase share of wallet in key segments, manage customers through the application of advanced analytics and campaign management.

Vince is a regular speaker at IBM and Industry seminars where he shares with the audience the latest Industry trends, case studies and updates on IBM’s Marketing solutions.

Vince believes that IBM’s advanced analytical technologies and services have the power to help organizations become smarter... improve the customer insight and leverage that insight to improve the customer experience during every interaction.

Vince is based in Singapore.

As Vice President Consulting Services Asia Pacific, Lucy leads a team which delivers strategic, data driven, marketing consultancy to clients. Lucy helps clients harness the power of their data, navigate the digital landscape, build engagement and relationships with their customers and shape their marketing organizations to best leverage the new opportunities presented by data driven digital marketing. Lucy has delivered innovative solutions for brands including American Express, Cisco, Diageo, Ericsson, IBM, Levi Strauss, Pernod Ricard and Singtel.

She moved to Singapore 10 years ago and first joined Ogilvy in 2001 where she led Levi’s first Asia Pacific online marketing strategy. After an interlude as Managing Director of Rapp Collins Singapore, Lucy returned to OgilvyOne in 2008. Lucy is the author of Can Brands Have a Social Life: A Study of Social Media in Asia.
