Big Data and Audience Insight
Smarter Analytics tools and IBM’s Big Data Platform provide the foundation on which to build a 360 degree view of the customer and establish the information platform for advanced customer analytics. The Audience Insight solution can help media providers reveal deep insight into the behavior their consumers to enhance the value of media products and services.

Accelerated Analytics
With the challenge of growing volume, velocity and variety of data today available in today’s connected customer era – using a multi-purpose or distributed system for big data workloads is often not the most cost effective or low risk approach, and definitely not the fastest. The new IBM PureData System is optimized for high-speed, peta-scale analytics and simplicity. This demo area will show how the PureData System for Analytics helps media organizations get closer to the customer and deliver a more relevant, insight driven, and personalized engagement.

Storage and Archive Solutions
IBM Linear Tape Files System (LTFS) is the first file system that works in conjunction with LTO 5 and LTO 6 tape and brings a new level of use and portability to Open Systems tape storage. Self-describing tapes and cross-platform file system compatibility enables shared access, content management from the desktop, and tape-based archiving at ingest. The demo area will showcase new capabilities for managing LTO libraries as well as integration with business partners who are bringing the value proposition of storage to the media marketplace.

The IBM Archive and Essence Manager (AREMA) solution can help you transition into the tapeless world by reusing legacy applications for metadata management, newsroom or scheduling without the need to implement a new content management "silo" system. AREMA provides extensive and flexible interfaces that can be controlled by third party applications (e.g. Avid® Interplay and Avid Media Composer), as well as essence management services, in order to perform essence workflow orchestration including archive management for LTFS.

Video Storage and Delivery
The IBM VideoGrid™ is optimized for storage, processing and delivery of video, creating a highly scalable appliance, powered by both IBM sand partner products. This area will demonstrate how the platform can be used to deliver remote storage DVR, over-the-top video, and second screen mobile experiences. New this year, VideoGrid also powers a cloud-based solution for non-linear editing (NLE) that provides a NLE client front-end and the storage cluster, network utilization efficiency, low latency asset rendering, storage cluster reporting tools, and data resiliency.
