Overview

The ThinkPad^® Super Multi-Burner Ultrabay™ Slim Drive option offers rewritable DVD technology suitable for archiving data or authoring DVD video content. This new drive:

Delivers added function to your ThinkPad notebook. This option slides easily in and out of the Ultrabay Slim bay found in selected ThinkPad notebooks. The ThinkPad Super Multi-Burner Ultrabay Slim Drive — Flat Bezel option is designed for optimized fit in the ThinkPad X6 UltraBase and the ThinkPad T60 Series notebooks.
Supports read/write compatibility with multiple CD and DVD approved formats including CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R Double Layer, DVD-R Dual Layer media.
Provides buffer underrun protection for reliable CD and DVD media recording.
Includes the following software package:
- WinDVD Creator video editing and authoring software¹ for capturing, editing, and creating your own videos. Save your home videos to DVD-R discs that are compatible with most set-top consumer DVD players and most PC DVD drives.
- WinDVD software for playback of MPEG-2 files and DVD movies.
- Multimedia Center for Think Offerings burning software for recording to CD and DVD supported media.
