At a glanceNew business process templates help the following industries:
OverviewBusinesses require process integration that is specific to their own industry. To address this need, IBM delivers targeted solutions within the WebSphere® Business Integration family. WebSphere Business Integration Collaborations are industry-specific business process templates that can help you jumpstart your business integration project. IBM is building upon its already robust portfolio of predefined, customizable, industry-specific business process templates to help companies accelerate their integration projects and take advantage of IBM's rich best-practices knowledge. These templates help improve integration projects by delivering industry-specific best-practices in critical areas. While collaborations are not intended to be used out of the box, they can substantially enhance an integration project by delivering most of the necessary code for a variety of business processes. New collaborations for retail and healthcare industries have been added to the family of collaborations. Also, the existing retail collaborations are enhanced to make UCCnet interaction even more valuable; the existing HIPAA collaborations are enhanced to provide limited integration capability with WebSphere Data Interchange and Tivoli® Privacy Manager; and the entire business process template portfolio is enhanced to be compatible with WebSphere InterChange Server V4.2.0 and V4.2.1. Key prerequisitesIBM WebSphere InterChange Server V4.2. For details, refer to the Hardware requirements and Software requirements sections.
DescriptionIBM WebSphere Business Integration expands its portfolio of industry-specific business processes to include additional process templates for retail and healthcare industries. New in this release:
IBM WebSphere Business Integration Collaboration for Product Information Management provides a highly efficient solution that can jump-start integration into the UCCnet registry, reduce operational costs and errors, increase sales by providing the accurate, timely data needed for educated business decisions, and increase market share by accelerating product-to-retail shelf cycles. This new collaboration offering now includes enhancements to what was formerly known as IBM WebSphere Business Integration Collaborations for Data Storage, Merchandise Qualification, as well as Product Information Management for Retailers. Together these collaborations help with:
Systems supporting the UCCnet DTD only (such as those using IBM WebSphere Business Integration for Retail Collaborations V4.2), are not upward-compatible with systems supporting both the UCCnet DTD and UCCnet XSD (such as those based on IBM WebSphere Business Integration for Retail Collaborations V4.2.1.1 and later). WebSphere Business Integration for Healthcare enables healthcare companies to integrate business support systems and operations support systems, rapidly providing new services to their staff. Through the use of prebuilt collaborations, the offering effectively provides examples that automate business process steps of end-to-end solutions such as static compliance reporting, patient electronic medical record (EMR) and cascading orders. When used in conjunction with the WebSphere Business Integration Adapter for Healthcare Protocols data handler, WebSphere Business Integration for Healthcare enables integration to a best-of-breed solution with existing Health Level Seven (HL7)-enabled legacy systems. Existing collaborations Enhancement of Retail Collaborations The WebSphere Business Integration Collaboration for UCCnet Item Synchronization and WebSphere Business Integration Collaboration for UCCnet Message Manager have the following enhancements:
Systems supporting the UCCnet DTD only (such as those using IBM WebSphere Business Integration for Retail Collaborations V4.2), are not upward-compatible with systems supporting both the UCCnet DTD and UCCnet XSD (such as those based on IBM WebSphere Business Integration for Retail Collaborations V4.2.1.1 and later).
