Description
WebSphere InterChange Server V4.2.1
WebSphere InterChange Server is available as a component of IBM WebSphere Business Integration
Server V4.2.1. It addresses the need for efficiency and flexibility in automating and synchronizing
business activities executed across multiple applications as business processes.
New in WebSphere InterChange Server V4.2.1
WebSphere InterChange Server V4.2.1 extends the feature release of V4.2 with additional platform
support:
-
HP-UX 11i Operating System
You can preserve your investment in applications and skills for the HP-UX platform when evaluating
the return on investment of business integration projects.
-
Oracle 9i Release 2
Oracle 9i database delivers performance and scalability, especially when combined with AIX 5L
Version 5.2.
-
IBM AIX 5L V5.2 Operating System
AIX 5L V5.2 integrates innovative technologies to help achieve maximum performance, reliability, and
flexibility in today's e-business environment. New to V5.2 is Dynamic Logical Partitioning (DLPAR)
that allows system resources including processors, memory, and other components, to be assigned to
independent partitions, without rebooting the system. The ability to allocate resources without
interruption eases system management and contributes to lower total cost of ownership because the
resources are better utilized.
WebSphere Business Integration Toolset V4.2.1
New in WebSphere Business Integration Toolset 4.2.1
-
Eclipse standard Version 2 support
IBM WebSphere Business Integration Toolset V4.2.1
delivers an extensible, integration studio and tooling based on WebSphere Workbench, from V1 to V2
of the Eclipse open standard for tooling. The studio provides an extensible, team-based, visual
design environment, together with the process integration development and administration tools, to
support the WebSphere InterChange Server.
-
Java Plug-in support for WebSphere Studio upgraded to V5
Provides the ability to combine
integration projects with new Java applications development in a single extensible Integrated
Development Environment (IDE).
-
System Manager adds WebSphere Application Server V5 as a support option
Introduced in the
4.2 release, the Web-based system monitoring console manages WebSphere InterChange Servers via a Web
browser including support of an optional choice of a Web server that supports Java Server Pages and
Java Servlets. WebSphere Application Server V5 supports this capability.
Providing monitoring and management capabilities securely over the Internet is a critical
requirement for virtually every customer be it a customer managing a large multinational
deployment or a smaller customer simply trying to manage a single installation during off hours.
The System Manager provides the ability to monitor the key components of the WebSphere InterChange
Server and the ability to manage (for example, Start, Stop, Pause) these components from a Web
browser. The Web-based interface is configurable, providing both table and graphical "widget"-based
views, with many pre-configured monitors provided.
