FieldFLEX Mobile for TRIRIGA applications bring the power of IBM TRIRIGA Integrated Workplace Management processes, such as work task management, facility assessment, space management, workplace reservations, and asset management, to mobile users. FieldFLEX applications enable users to access and update critical TRIRIGA information in online and offline modes.

FieldFLEX Mobile Maintenance Services enables field technicians to manage TRIRIGA work task assignments for maintenance activities directly from their mobile devices. FieldFLEX users can quickly access critical details that are required to complete their tasks, track their time entries, update asset information, and more.

FieldFLEX Mobile Space Manager enables facility space managers to manage and audit space, allocation, occupancy, and asset information from a mobile device. Surveys can be conducted by using interactive floor maps to locate and update information directly into TRIRIGA. Barcode scanning can be used to quickly identify locations and assets to update.

FieldFLEX Mobile Inspections provides facility managers with a flexible framework to set up and conduct inspections in order to help maintain compliance with operational, safety, and other regulations. Inspections results can be used to trigger the creation of TRIRIGA work tasks when deficiencies are identified.

FieldFLEX Mobile Self-Service, which includes Service Requests, Reservations, and Maps components, brings the power of TRIRIGA Integrated Workplace Management to the mobile devices of the corporate user community. FieldFLEX Mobile Self-Service enables users to easily find and reserve individual workspace or meeting rooms; submit requests for services; and locate rooms, assets, or other employees using interactive floor plans.

FieldFLEX Kiosk brings the capabilities of FieldFLEX Maps to fixed-position kiosks to enable users to reserve space or meetings rooms on the spot. Users can also use the FieldFLEX maps to locate rooms and employees with an interactive floor plan directly from the kiosk.

FieldFLEX Mobile Maintenance Services enables workplace maintenance technicians to complete the following tasks:

  • Access assigned work tasks and associated information directly from mobile devices.
  • Create new work orders and update information from the field.
  • Synchronize changes to TRIRIGA automatically.
  • Record time, parts, and other resources used in work task activities.
  • Modify priority and route work tasks directly from the field.
  • View electronic manuals, documents, floor plans, and images from the mobile device.

FieldFLEX Mobile Space Manager enables facility space managers to complete the following tasks:

  • Locate and update room, occupant, and asset information using integrated floor plans.
  • Generate service tasks as issues are found during surveys.
  • Note floor plan changes through markup directly within the mobile app.
  • Scan barcodes to quickly identify assets for inventory and other updates.
  • View documents, floor plans, images, and other information from TRIRIGA directly from the mobile survey application.

FieldFLEX Mobile Inspections enables facility managers to complete the following tasks:

  • Execute workplace inspections using mobile devices.
  • Create custom inspection checklists for a variety of uses.
  • Generate service requests immediately when issues are found on site.
  • Modify inspection checklists as requirements change.

FieldFLEX Mobile Self-Service Suite enables users to complete the following tasks:

  • Search for and reserve workspace or meeting rooms.
  • Submit facility service requests directly from a smartphone or tablet.
  • Submit move requests for personnel or assets.
  • Quickly locate rooms, assets, or employees from interactive floor plans from a mobile device.

Hardware requirements

FieldFLEX DMX/T Server

  • CPU: 2 x Xeon E5620, or higher
  • Memory: 12 GB minimum (24 GB recommended)
  • HDD: 120 GB SSD with RAID 10 (2 x 120 SSD) and 2 x 120 HDD for data mirroring

For optimal performance, the database and applications should be deployed to dedicated servers per the hardware specification above.

Software requirements

FieldFLEX DMX/T Server

  • Application and server software: IBM TRIRIGA 10, or later
  • Application server: Tomcat 5+, JBoss 5.1+, IBM WebSphere® 8+, or WebLogic 11g
  • Java™: Java 6+
  • Databases: Oracle 10+ and MSSQL 2005+

FieldFLEX MEAR (mobile device runtime)

FieldFLEX develops for and tests against the most commonly used mobile operating system versions installed in their base state rather than against specific devices. The following mobile operating systems are supported:

  • Apple iOS (5.0x, 5.1.x, 6.x, 7.x, and 8.x)
  • Android OS 1 (4.0.x, 4.1.x, 4.2.x, 4.3x, 4.4x, and 5.x) with a minimum display size of 320 x 480
  • BlackBerry Playbook OS
  • BlackBerry 10 OS
  • Windows™ 8.x (Pro and RT 1 )


Windows 8 tablets running the RT version of the OS may see some performance issues with large datasets. FieldFLEX recommends Windows 8 RT devices for smaller, lighter data usage.
