IBM® and Red Hat are working together with the intention to deliver the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.2 on IBM Z® and IBM LinuxONE platforms in early first quarter 2020. By providing a secure, scalable, and open hybrid, multicloud platform, this offering is designed to accelerate cloud transformation to:

  • Unlock business value and drive growth for clients by modernizing and creating cloud-native applications.
  • Utilize portability and agility through tight integration with tools and runtimes.
  • Deliver automation to develop, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications.

This announcement revises the previous statement of direction with additional information to that which was announced in Software Announcement 219-381, dated August 1, 2019.
