IBM® Financial Crimes Insight® for Insurance V3.0, formerly known as IBM Counter Fraud Management for Insurance, is now being offered as a cloud service offering. It helps organizations analyze data to determine the fraud risk of claims, medical providers, and other business entities, manage the full investigation lifecycle, and report on outcomes.

Financial Crimes Insight for Insurance enhancements include providing all of the capabilities of the on-premises offering with hosting on the cloud.

Financial Crimes Insight for Insurance segments the enterprise-wide fraud problem into four key phases:

  • Detect: Apply multilayered analytics.
  • Respond: Apply fraud insights to take action.
  • Investigate: Turn fraud intelligence into action.
  • Discover: Leverage a rich set of analytic capabilities to identify suspicious activity.

Financial Crimes Insight for Insurance V3.0 provides actionable insights to identify suspicious activity, as well as a management environment for the investigation, mitigation, and prosecution of fraud and financial crimes.

It helps to improve business results by reducing loss while maintaining a positive experience with the organization for legitimate customers as well as improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the investigations team. Financial Crimes Insight for Insurance segments the enterprise-wide fraud problem into four key phases:

  • Detect: Apply multilayered analytics, including machine learning, in the business process to determine if an action is potentially fraudulent before unnecessary payments occur.
  • Respond: Apply fraud insights to take action. Confidently differentiate legitimate actions while preventing or interrupting suspicious actions by responding immediately to criminal patterns and activities.
  • Investigate: Turn fraud intelligence into action. Perform and manage the deep inquiries into suspicious activity that support the compilation of evidence and provide the thorough analysis required to build more compelling investigations for prosecution and recovery or denial of payment.
  • Discover: Leverage a rich set of analytic capabilities to identify suspicious activity by retrospectively reviewing historical data, analyzing patterns, and building watch lists to identify individuals or organizations that might be conducting fraudulent activities.

The approach followed by Financial Crimes Insight for Insurance is to provide a proactive, integrated counter-fraud offering to enable organizations to detect, disrupt, predict, prevent, and investigate fraudulent activities impacting their business.
