Detailed Description
This i-listed RPQ 8A2675 is a 2 for 1 NVMe Adapter Offer.
Each RPQ delivers one (1) PCIe3 3.2TB SSD NVMe Adapter for
AIX/LINUX EQUIVALENT TO FC #EC5D AT ZERO PRICE WHEN ONE EC5D IS
ordered at regular price. A maximum of two zero priced adapters are
allowed per server.
Configurations must consist of two (2) Processor Features, either
TWO 8-CORE PROCESSORS #EP1E,TWO 10-CORE PROCESSORS #EP1F OR TWO
11-CORE PROCESSORS #EP1H. THE 12-CORE PROCESSOR FEATURE #EP1G IS
not supported with this RPQ.
THERE IS A MAXIMUM QUANTITY OF FIVE (5) #EC5D ADAPTERS ON THE
9009-42A.
Ordering Instructions:
1. Request approval for i-listed RPQ 8A2675. You will be issued
an approval number.
2. Generate a valid new or MES order via eConfig for the
9009-42A.
BE SURE TO INCLUDE #EC5D WITH A QUANTITY OF 2, 3, 4 OR 5.
3. Prior to submitting the order to CSO/BPSO, the comments
section must tell the CSO/BPSO to manually modify the
order as follows:
IF QTY 2 OR 3 OF #EC5D IS ORDERED:
- REDUCE THE QTY OF #EC5D BY 1
- Add Qty 1 of RPQ 8A2675 and the Approval Number obtained
in Step 1 above.
NOTE: IF AN ODD QUANTITY OF #EC5D IS ORDERED (3 IN THIS
INSTANCE), THE CUSTOMER WILL PAY FOR 2 X #EC5D AND
RECEIVE 1 X #EC5D FOR FREE.
IF QTY 4 OR 5 OF #EC5D IS ORDERED:
- REDUCE THE QTY OF #EC5D BY 2
- Add Qty 2 of RPQ 8A2675 and the Approval Number obtained
in Step 1 above.
NOTE: IF AN ODD QUANTITY OF #EC5D IS ORDERED (5 IN THIS
INSTANCE), THE CUSTOMER WILL PAY FOR 3 X #EC5D AND
RECEIVE 2 X #EC5D FOR FREE.
4. Submit the order.
5. Following the installation of the RPQ, a Record Purpose Only
(RPO-MES) must be processed for the affected system S/N.
The RPO-MES must
- REMOVE the quantity of RPQs ordered (1 or 2) and replace
WITH THE SAME QUANTITY OF #EC5D (1 OR 2).
Prerequisites:
Prereqs: On-order 9009-42A with specified configuration.
Limitations : Customer must order a minimum of one NVMe FC EC5D code
for each qty one of RPQ 8A2675. Maximum qty of RPQ 8A2675 is two.
- CSP features 0456, 8453 and CSRP feature 0469 are not allowed
on any system in the order with this RPQ.
- THERE IS A MAXIMUM QUANTITY OF FIVE (5) #EC5D ADAPTERS ON THE
9009-42A. This translates to a maximum quantity of two (2) RPQs.
- Configurations must consist of two (2) Processor Features,
EITHER TWO 8-CORE PROCESSORS #EP1E, TWO 10-CORE PROCESSORS #EP1F
OR TWO 11-CORE PROCESSORS #EP1H.
THE 12-CORE PROCESSOR FEATURE #EP1G IS NOT SUPPORTED WITH THIS
RPQ.
- Special bids not allowed in Europe, AP, and LA.
- Special bids allowed in US and CAN.
- Solutions with this RPQ are ineligible for MSP and ESA Programs
- Not available with any other promotions, except with the Double
Up Memory RPQ.
- MES orders applicable for Health care and Life Science clients
only.

The warranty terms for this RPQ assume the same warranty terms of
the machine in which it is installed for the full warranty period
announced for such machine.
IBM will not be liable for any loss of, or damage to, the Customer's
records, or data, or for any lost profits, lost savings, incidental
damages, or other economic consequential damages, even if advised of
the possibility of such damages. In addition, IBM will not be
liable for any third-party claims against the customer for losses or
damages.
