The latest version of IBM® PowerSC MFA, which provides alternative authentication mechanisms for systems used with RSA SecurID-based authentication and certificate authentication, has three major feature updates:

  • IBM i client enablement, which will give IBM i users the ability to use multifactor authentication (MFA) on their IBM i systems
  • Enterprise Linux® on Power® Systems server enablement, which will support the PowerSC MFA server component with Linux on Power
  • MFA integration enhancement, which exposes administrative interfaces with a Representational State Transfer (REST)-compliant API, making MFA integration easier through standard REST

One of the following operating systems:

  • IBM AIX® 7.1 or 7.2
  • Red Hat® Enterprise Linux Server 7.4, or later
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP3, or later
  • IBM i 7.3 or 7.4
