HIGHLIGHTS
o   Customer setup devices
o   Compact desktop design
o   Allows pan, zoom, and rotation of 2D and 3D images
o   Easily rotated dials
o   Programmable keys to reduce user commands
o   Lighted keys on the LPFK
DESCRIPTION
The 6094 Dials Model 010 is an image-manipulation device that
allows the user to manually input scalar values in order to affect
the visual image displayed on the monitor.  The Dials is a separate
desktop unit consisting of eight potentiometers commonly used for
pan, zoom, and rotation of 2D and 3D figures.  The Dials may be
programmed to provide specific function via the application.
The 6094 Lighted Program Function Keyboard (LPFK) Model 020 is
an application aid device that allows the user to preprogram
application functions to be initiated by the striking of either a
single lighted key or a combination of lighted keys.  The LPFK is a
separate desktop unit consisting of 32 keytops in which bright and
easily viewed indicators are imbedded.  The keyboard indicator lights
can be turned on and off under processor or host application control.
Both units are specifically designed to enhance the graphics
operations of the 6090 Graphics System and the IBM PC and PS/2 family
of computer products.  A 3.5-inch diagnostic diskette is included in
the ship group of the 6094.  Should a 5.25-inch diagnostic diskette
be required, #9525 must be requested at the time of order placement.

the IBM 5081 or 6091 Color Display.  An Attachment Cable Kit
(#4000) is required on the 6094.
o   PC (5150), PC XT (TM) (5160, except XT/370), and PS/2 Models 30,
50, 60, 70, and 80, via the Asynchronous Communications Adapter
(#2074) on the 5150 and 5160 and via the system board serial port
on all models of the PS/2.  An Attachment Cable Kit (#4020) is
    required on the 6094.
o   PC XT 286 (5162), PC AT (R) (5170, except AT/370), and PS/2, via
    the Serial/Parallel Adapter (#2015) on both the 5162 and 5170;
and via the Dual Async Adapter (#3033) on all models of the PS/2
with the adapter installed.  An Attachment Cable Kit (#4025) is
required on the 6094.  Feature numbers 4020 and 4025 include the
required attachment cable, an AC power supply to provide power to
the Dials and LPFK, and a 3.5-inch diagnostic diskette.
NOTE:  The number of peripheral devices (Dials, LPFK, and/or Tablets)
attachable at the same time to any model of the IBM PC or PS/2
computers directly correlates to the number of Async Adapters
installed to accommodate them.
Should a 5.25-inch diagnostic diskette be required, #9525 must
be requested at the time of order placement.
The power supply, diagnostic diskettes, and attachment cables
may be purchased separately by part number.
Power supplies are installation voltage sensitive.

    or higher is required.
o   PC and PS/2 systems:  DOS 3.2 or higher is required.
A 3.5-inch diagnostic diskette is included with all 6094
orders for IBM PC or PS/2 attachment.  Should a 5.25-inch diagnostic
diskette be required, #9525 must be requested at the time of order
placement.
COMPATIBILITY:  The IBM 6094 Models 010 and 020 are
program-compatible with the existing feature #8710 (Dials) and #4710
(LPFK) on the IBM 5085 and 5086 Graphics Processors, as well as the
Dials and LPFK features on the IBM RT (R) System.
Additional Dials or LPFK support on an IBM PC or PS/2 will
involve the addition of IBM-supplied code to the base operating
system.
