Box Multizone

IBM® is adding a new add-on part called Box Multizone to its Box offerings. It enables the enterprise and its users to store data in and collaborate across multiple regions of choice to address data residency, privacy, and protection concerns, all from a single Box instance. It helps to reduce risk by proactively addressing compliance requirements, such as GPDR. It also enables you to:

  • Maintain control where all content resides with the capability to set a policy on a granular level for each user
  • Get insight and transparency through on-demand reporting of storage policies by user

At the time of configuration, the user can select up to six zones, with one zone as a default zone. Box Multizone is currently available only with Box Enterprise.

IBM support for Box

IBM support enablement for Box is a support offering that entitles clients, who are purchasing Box third-party offerings through IBM, to call IBM for support.

IBM support teams are available to assist with technical issues of varying degrees of severity for Box third-party offerings. To help provide answers to clients, support teams are the first point of contact for the client and then engage other groups within IBM or Box, including operations and development, as needed.

Box is a third-party cloud service offering. Clients need to purchase the IBM Support Enablement and Enhanced Support Services for Box through IBM to receive response time credits and 24x7 support through IBM. Support response time objectives are limited for clients who purchase the IBM Support Enablement and do not purchase the Enhanced Support Services for Box through IBM.

Technical support

Technical support is provided for cloud services and enabling software, as applicable, during the subscription period. Any enhancements, updates, and other materials provided by IBM as part of any such technical support are considered to be part of the cloud service, as applicable, and therefore governed by the applicable agreement as defined in client's quote or transaction document. Technical support is included with the cloud service and is not available as a separate offering.

Additional technical support information for this cloud service offering may be found in the IBM Support Handbook or in service-specific documentation.

24x7 response time coverage is available for organizations that have purchased Box Premier Services or Box Platinum Services. For organizations that did not purchase Box Premier Services or Box Platinum Services, support is limited to business hours only.

Statement of good security practices

Top rule

IT system security involves protecting systems and information through intrusion prevention, detection, and response to improper access from within and outside your enterprise. Improper access can result in information being altered, destroyed, or misappropriated or can result in misuse of your systems to attack others. Without a comprehensive approach to security, no IT system or product should be considered completely secure and no single product or security measure can be completely effective in preventing improper access. IBM systems and products are designed to be part of a regulatory compliant, comprehensive security approach, which will necessarily involve additional operational procedures, and may require other systems, products, or services to be most effective.

Important: IBM does not warrant that any systems, products, or services are immune from, or will make your enterprise immune from, the malicious or illegal conduct of any party.
