Programmer's Guide
The primary objective of this document is to provide a concise method by which system software and hardware developers and application programmers may more readily provide software that is compatible across the family of PowerPC™ processors and other devices. A more detailed account of the following topics or the PowerPC architecture in general, may be obtained from the PowerPC Microprocessor Family: The Programming Environments (referred to as The Programming Environments Manual). The PowerPC Architecture: A Specification for a New Family of RISC Processors defines the architecture from the perspective of the three programming environments and remains the defining document for the PowerPC architecture. Topics include register summary, memory control model, exception vectors and PowerPC instruction set.
