What is podcasting?
Podcasting is a way of delivering audio (and video) content that enables people to get content easily and at their convenience. Once a user subscribes to a podcast, they will be able to access all the content for the podcast and will be notified as new content becomes available. Created by combining the words iPod and broadcast, Podcasting originally referred to the download of subscription audio content (usually in .mp3 format) to an iPod or other compatible player. Now audiences can use a podcast capable application or device to subscribe to a series of on-demand broadcasts which can be heard or viewed anytime. It is just that simple.
