A World without Email

For many working within organizations of all sizes, email is the main collaboration tool for getting work done, and the value of the newer social networking tools may not yet be apparent to many of us. Luis Suarez, a social computing evangelist within IBM, sought to uncover this value by recently challenged himself to work outside his email account and rely almost entirely on the social networking tools such as blogs and wikis. Now 11 months into his experiment, he has been able to reduce the traffic in his email account by 85%. Learn how he accomplished this, where these business critical interactions are now happening, and the business benefits he sees for the IBM organization if more of us took this challenge.

New IBM email security. Simple and Integrated.

As new threats emerge and legal and regulatory requirements evolve,
the need for a comprehensive security solution supporting messaging continues
to increase. The explosion of e-mail as a content container has changed the way
enterprises manage the growing corpus of data - in motion and at rest - represented
by users' mailboxes. Until now, new security threats have been addressed
with new solutions from new vendors. Over time this approach can create a fragmented
and disconnected messaging security infrastructure that is difficult to purchase,
integrate and maintain. What customers need is an integrated approach, one that
helps reduce the complexity of messaging security. Discover IBM Lotus Protector,
a new line of security offerings to complement customer investments in IBM Lotus
