This IBM Redbook will help you plan, install, and configure the IBM Content Manager VideoCharger for Multiplatforms product on both Windows NT/2000 and AIX platforms. It covers the integration of VideoCharger with the IBM Content Manager. This redbook also provides a broad understanding of encoding video, using various codes and transport methods; discusses performance on both AIX and NT platforms; and provides some sample configurations. We look at performance related issues involved in planning and sizing a VideoCharger system. We explain how to implement a VideoCharger Server in an operational network acting with a firewall. We share some of the experiences of our development team as well as some customer scenarios. This book applies to Version 8.1 of the IBM Content Manager VideoCharger for Multiplatforms licensed program, Program Number 5724-B19, for use with Windows NT/2000 or AIX.
