New function APAR PK95922 introduces support to allow you to extract CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) and CICS Transaction Gateway (CICS TG) statistics from an SMF file directly into a CSV file, rather than having to first load the data into an Historical Database (HDB) and then perform the extract from the HDB. This APAR also corrects several problems with CICS Performance Analyzer for z/OS (CICS PA) V3.1. PK95922 closed on 28 October 2009.

If you are a licensed user of CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) V4.1, or CICS TS V3, you can now download an updated version of the IBM CICS Explorer. Version 1.0.0.2 provides various bug fixes so you should install it at your earliest convenience. It also provides CICS System Definition (CSD) support to the CICS Explorer for CICS TS 4.1. Updates to the CICS tools plug-ins for the CICS Explorer are also now available.

New function APAR PK90007 introduces support for CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) V4.1 transaction resource monitoring record distributed program link (DPL) statistics and performance monitoring IDENTITY class data. This APAR also introduces support for post-processing selection criteria when a FORM is specified in the Cross System Workload report. In addition, this APAR corrects many problems. PK90007 closed on 1 September 2009.

If you are a licensed user of CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) V3 or V4.1, you can now download and use the fully supported version of the IBM CICS Explorer. The latest version of the CICS Explorer contains many new enhancements in support of the new features of CICS TS V4.1, that became generally available on 26 June 2009.

CICS PA V3.1 adds support for CICS Transaction Server for z/OS V4.1, the CICS Explorer, and new statistics alert reporting.
