If you are a licensed user of CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) V4.1, or CICS TS V3, you can now download an updated version of the IBM CICS Explorer. Version 1.0.0.2 provides various bug fixes so you should install it at your earliest convenience. It also provides CICS System Definition (CSD) support to the CICS Explorer for CICS TS 4.1. Updates to the CICS tools plug-ins for the CICS Explorer are also now available.

New Function (NF) APAR PK90649 adds a new PROCESSPARM, LIMITRESULTS, to allow a sub-set of data to be returned on a LIST application programming interface (API) command. The APAR also adds a new API command, KILL, to allow the Explorer plug-in to terminate a long-running API command. PK90649 closed on 14 August 2009.

APAR PK82906 introduced support to process unsigned packed decimal VSAM data automatically. New Function APAR PK85545 allows unsigned packed decimal data to be used with CICS VSAM Transparancy for z/OS (CICS VT) V1.2 conversion routines PACKINT, PACKSINT, PACKDATE, PACKTIME and PACKDTIM along with their reverse counterparts. APAR PK85545 closed on 9 July 2009.
