Known Issue: ITCAM for WAS V7.2 does not support configuration for application servers with a space character " " in the server name.
Known Issue: The user can only select one server during the configuration process. Similarly, only one server can be specified for silent configuration parameter: APP_SERVER_NAMES
Known Issue: z/OS configuration prompts are unclear. The z/OS configuration script (setupdc.sh) issues the following prompt:
Do you wish to remove and recreate the runtime directory? (y|n):
Additionally, the help for the cleanup option in both the setup and the unconfig.sh scripts, refers to a “runtime” directory.
The runtime directory referenced is the runtime for an application server instance, for example: /runtime/was80.tvt7006.b8sr00a.
Replying "Y" to this prompt will attempt to remove and remake was80.tvt7006.b8sr00a, not the entire directory called "runtime".
Known Issue: Runtime application server directory not deleted when the cleanup option is used when the application server is running.
In the script that unconfigures the z/OS data collector, if the argument "-cleanup" is supplied, ITCAM attempts to delete the configuration’s runtime directory, for example: /runtime/was80.tvt7006.b8sr00a.
If the application server is running at that time, deleting all the log files may not be possible, leaving the runtime logs directory and the log files that could not be deleted, for example: /runtime/was80.tvt7006.b8sr00a//logs/CYN/logs.
Known Issue: After enabling the z/OS Data Collector to connect to the Managing Server with Transaction Tracking (TTAPI), the following error message is found in the Data Collector log and the WebSphere server cannot be seen in the deep dive UI:
Data Collector log ERROR message [java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError at java.lang.J9VMInternals.initialize(J9VMInternals.java:227) Cause: The ITCAM for Transactions native library for transaction Tracking (TTAPI) installed on the z/OS machine does not match the level required by ITCAM for WebSphere Application Server V7.2. Solution: If you don't need integration with Transaction Tracking (TTAPI), you can disable this feature and restart the WebSphere server. Otherwise, you need to install the most recent copy of the ITCAM for Transactions native library for TTAPI on z/OS .
