Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem". This problem occurs when service pack SI50567 is applied and then the following steps are taken: 1. Start System i Navigator. 2. Expand Basic Operation and click on Printer Output 3. Double click a spool file. 4. The above error message appears. The spool file fails to open. ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 INSTALLATION NOTES ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.1 Applying the patch ------------------------------------------------------------------- This temporary patch is only compatible with 7.1 IBM i Access for Windows service pack SI50567. Perform the following steps on your PC: 1) Close System i Navigator if it's running. 2) Download the zip file and unzip it. 3) Copy all the DLL files from the patch to the AFPViewr sub directory under the installation directory of IBM i Access for Windows. (eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\AFPViewr ) 4) Copy all the files under Cnv\icudt44l of the patch to AFPViewr\Cnv\icudt44l sub directory under the installation directory. (eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\AFPViewr\Cnv\icudt44l ) 5) The installation is complete. 2.2 Removing the patch --------------------------- Perform the following steps on your PC: 1) Close System i Navigator if it is running. 2) Enter the AFPViewr sub directory under the installation directory of IBM i Access for Windows. (eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\AFPViewr ) 3) Remove the DLL files that were copied from the patch. 4) Enter the AFPViewr\Cnv\icudt44l sub directory under the installation directory (eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\AFPViewr\Cnv\icudt44l ) 5) Remove the files that copied from the patch. ------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.0 PERMANENT FIX DELIVERY ------------------------------------------------------------------- The permanent fix will be delivered in the next V7R1 Service Pack scheduled for June 2014.
