JSON concepts

Due to its simplicity, it is used as an alternative to XML and does not require predetermined schema designs. While initially created for use with JavaScript, it is language independent and portable. Db2 for i conforms to the industry standard SQL support for JSON.
Using JSON_TABLE
The JSON_TABLE table function converts a JSON document into a relational table.
Generating JSON data
By using SQL functions, you can generate formatted JSON data from relational tables.
