Migrating a system that can start AnyNet connections
Before you migrate the system to Enterprise Extender (HPRIP), make sure that the network configuration is as follows.
- One APPC controller of type *ANYNW, with a remote control point value of TCPIP.
- One entry on the QAPPNRMT configuration list for each remote node that defines the remote node and sets the control point name as TCPIP.
- One entry on the TCP host table that has the suffix SNA.IBM.COM, and that has the remote SNA host name and the remote network ID with the same suffix.
- The ALWANYNET network attribute set to *YES.
To migrate to Enterprise Extender (HPRIP),
follow these steps:
- For each entry on the host table that has an SNA.IBM.COM suffix, create one APPC controller of the link type *HPRIP and the IP address of the remote host using the Create Controller Description (APPC) (CRTCTLAPPC) command.
- Delete the entry for the remote system in the QAPPNRMT configuration list using either the Remove Configuration List Entries (RMVCFGLE) or Work with Configuration Lists (WRKCFGL) (WRKCFGL CFGL(*APPNRMT)) command.
You can either keep or delete the entry on the host
table.
