The Hold Job using Job Scheduler (HLDJOBJS) command allows you to hold a job that you specify. When you press Enter, a message is displayed confirming that the job you selected has been held. The job is held until the Release Job using Job Scheduler (RLSJOBJS) command is processed for the job or Option 6 (Release/Reset) is selected for the job on the Work with Jobs display.

Job entry (JOB)
Specifies the name of the job that you want to hold.
You must specify a job and optionally can specify a group to which the job belongs and the associated sequence number of the job.
This is a required parameter.

- The job is not a member of a group.

Element 3: Group sequence
- *NONE
- There is not a sequence number assigned to this job.
