Display SVC Session (DSPSVCSSN)

The Display Storage Area Network (SAN) Volume Controller Auxiliary Storage Pool Session (DSPSVCSSN) command displays an auxiliary storage pool (ASP) session.

Restrictions:

• You must have use (*USE) authority to the ASP device descriptions of the session for which an entry is being displayed.
• You must have read authority to the secure shell key file specified in the preferred source and preferred target copy descriptions.

Parameters

Session (SSN)

Specifies the name of the ASP session to be displayed.

This is a required parameter.

Specify the name of an ASP session.

Device domain (DEVDMN)

Specifies the name of the device domain.

The device domain that the current node is in.

Specify the name of the device domain.

Output (OUTPUT)

Specifies whether the output from the command is shown at the requesting workstation or printed with the job's spooled output.

Output requested by an interactive job is shown on the display. Output requested by a batch job is printed with the job's spooled output.

*PRINT

The output is printed with the job's spooled output.

Examples

Example 1: Displaying an ASP Session

DSPSVCSSN   SSN(ORDERSSN)

This command displays the ASP session named ORDERSSN.

Example 2: Displaying an ASP session in the Current Device Domain

DSPSVCSSN   SSN(ORDERSSN) DEVDMN(*)

This has the same result as Example 1. The ASP session is displayed from the current device domain.

Example 3: Displaying an ASP session from a Named Device Domain

DSPSVCSSN   SSN(ORDERSSN) DEVDMN(MYDOMAIN)

This is similar to Example 1, but the ASP session is displayed from the device domain named MYDOMAIN.

Example 4: Printing an ASP Session

DSPSVCSSN   SSN(ORDERSSN) OUTPUT(*PRINT)

This command prints the ASP session named ORDERSSN to the job's spooled output.
