Backing up pieces of your system

In addition to using backup control groups to back up the data on your system, you can back up individual files, libraries, or folders from the hierarchy.

To back up an individual item, perform the following steps:
  1. In System i® Navigator, expand your system > File Systems.
  2. Right-click the item you want to back up under Integrated File System and select Back Up.
