Use the IBM i Information Center as your starting point for IBM i technical information.

You can access the Information Center in two ways:

• From the i5/OS Information Center CD . This CD-ROM ships with your new System i hardware or IBM i software upgrade order. You can also order the CD-ROM from the IBM® Publications Center:

The IBM i Information Center contains new and updated IBM i information such as software and hardware installation, Linux, WebSphere®, Java™, high availability, database, logical partitions, CL commands, and system application programming interfaces (APIs). In addition, it provides advisors and finders to assist in planning, troubleshooting, and configuring your System i hardware and software.

With every new hardware order, you receive the System i Access for Windows DVD. This DVD contains IBM i Access for Windows. IBM i Access Family offers a powerful set of client and server capabilities for connecting workstations to System i platforms.
