Installing OProfile with distribution tools
Install OProfile using tools available from your Linux distribution. These instructions do not use IBM Advance Toolchain or the SDK.
Note: These instructions are provided as a guide. Review the documentation associated with your
installed distribution for updates or additional steps and options regarding how to install
additional packages.
- Fedora, Red Hat Enterprise Linux

yum install oprofile - SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, OpenSUSE
- $
zypper install oprofileoryast2 -i oprofile - Ubuntu, debian
