Obtaining statistics
To check whether your OpenSSL configuration (with or without IBMCA) works as expected, you can obtain statistics about cryptographic requests.
Though the mentioned tools do not distinguish between activity with or without OpenSSL, you may obtain strong evidence about a reasonable configuration of your cryptographic processing.
- Monitoring CPACF activity - independent from the OpenSSL configuration
- Statistics from lszcrypt - only valid when IBMCA is configured with OpenSSL
- Statistics from icastats - only valid when IBMCA is configured with OpenSSL
