You can use standard Microsoft Visual
Studio standard design tools, custom Datacap controls (DCEdit and
DCImage), and custom event handlers to modify the custom panel.
The initial custom panel includes three controls for each field
that is defined in the DCO. The controls are arranged vertically on
a background control. In Visual Studio, you can complete these modifications.
- Resize the background control and move the other controls as required.
- Change the background color property (BackColor) or add a background
image (BackgroundImage).
- Add a company or product logo by dragging a standard PictureBox
control from the toolbox and selecting the logo file through the Image
property.
- Change the tab order through the Properties pane
to modify the TabIndex properties for the DCEdit controls and the combination box
controls to reflect the wanted tab order. Also, in the Properties pane,
confirm that TabStop is set to True for
all of the controls that you want to include in the tab sequence.
Important: DotEdit assigns TabIndex values to DCImage controls,
DCEdit controls, and combination box controls. By default, the TabStop property
for the DCImage controls is set to False, which
excludes the DCImage controls from the tab sequence.
The DCEdit controls and DCImage controls are custom Datacap controls
with many custom properties. For example, you can specify the data
type, the low confidence color, the confidence level that is required
for high confidence matching, and other options.
In addition to the properties that you can modify through the Visual
Studio Properties pane, both controls have custom
properties that are accessible by right-clicking on the control and choosing Properties.
