NENU applications setup
batch monitoring, status notification, and automatic deletion of completed
batches.
Before, you create a NENU application, you must
be familiar with the following tasks:
Creating and modifying IBM® Datacap
Taskmaster Capture applications by
using Datacap Studio
Running Taskmaster applications
by using a Taskmaster Client
The basic structure of Taskmaster batches
and how batches move through the various stages in the Taskmaster workflow
Ensuring that the Taskmaster Server Service is started
The Taskmaster Server
Service must be running before you start an application or a Taskmaster component. You can
check the status of the service and start the service in the TaskmasterServer Manager.
Creating a NENU application on Datacap Studio
You can use Datacap Studio to
create a NENU application
to set up batch monitoring, status notification, and automatic deletion
of completed batches.
Updating the datacap.xml file on the Taskmaster server
The datacap.xml file on the Taskmaster server must contain
references to the applications. The file must also contain the locations
that are indicated in the file and that you are configuring for use.
Ensuring that the Taskmaster Server Service is started
The Taskmaster Server
Service must be running before you start an application or a Taskmaster component. You can
check the status of the service and start the service in the TaskmasterServer Manager.
Deleting rulesets from a NENU application
New RRS applications that you create by using the Datacap Studio Application wizard
contain a default ruleset structure that monitors only another application.
You can delete this default ruleset structure from the NENU application.
Adding actions to a NENU application
You can create a simple ruleset with actions that check
the status of batches within a specified application workflow and
email the results to an administrator.
Running a ruleset with NENU Manager
You can run a ruleset manually on NENU Manager. Running NENU manually is useful when
you want to test the ruleset before you set up Windows Scheduler to run it automatically.
AutoDelete batches with NENU
Earlier versions of IBM Datacap
Taskmaster Capture included an AutoDelete
utility to automatically delete unwanted batches. This function is
now available through NENU.
