Upgrading the Pack

IBM® InfoSphere® DataStage® jobs and job designs created using an older version of the Pack are not compatible with Version 4.1 or later. During installation of the Load stage Server components, existing Load jobs are upgraded. No recompiling is necessary.

You should not edit existing jobs with the SAP BW Load client until the server components are installed and the upgrade process runs.

When upgrading the Pack, you must follow one of these migration procedures:

• Maintaining or upgrading InfoSphere DataStage in the same environment
• Migrating to a new InfoSphere DataStage server
