Installing the module

IBM® InfoSphere® QualityStage® Module for U.S. Address Certification module is an additional product module that you install with IBM InfoSphere DataStage® and QualityStage.

Before you begin

Read the IBM InfoSphere Information Server Planning, Installation, and Configuration Guide for information about planning for installation, preparing the target computers, and installing the software. If you have internet access, you can view the same information about Installing in the online information center.
Ensure that you have administrative privileges.
Uninstall any modules before Cycle N.

About this task

This procedure describes starting the installation program in graphical mode. For multiple installations that use the same settings, you can install the module in silent mode by using a response file. To install the module, you use the installation program of IBM InfoSphere Information Server. For more information, see the IBM InfoSphere Information Server Planning, Installation, and Configuration Guide. IBM InfoSphere QualityStage Module for U.S. Address Certification is installed on the client tier and engine tier. The client tier can be installed on only Windows computers.

When you install an additional product or tier after you install InfoSphere Information Server, you use the InfoSphere Information Server suite installer. The suite installer and the Update Installer share certain files. Therefore, you must install the latest version of the Update Installer on the suite installer media before you use the suite installer. You install the latest version of the Update Installer so that the suite installer code matches the version of the Update Installer on your installation.

Procedure

Install the latest version of the IBM InfoSphere Information Server Update Installer on the installation image of IBM InfoSphere Information Server.

Log in as an administrator or root user.
From the product CD or the downloaded image of the module, extract the archive file for your platform and go to the Payloads directory.
From that directory, copy the USAC directory into the is-suite\payloads directory of the InfoSphere Information Server suite installation image.

To run the installation program, complete the steps for your operating system:

Operating system	Action
Linux, UNIX	Change to the is-suite directory of the InfoSphere Information Server installation image. Type `./setup`.
Windows	Go to the is-suite directory of the InfoSphere Information Server installation image. Double-click the setup.exe file.

The installation program starts. For more information about starting and running the installation program, see the IBM InfoSphere Information Server Planning, Installation, and Configuration Guide.

Follow the prompts to complete the installation. When you reach the Product Selection page of the installation program, select one of the following options:

Option	Description
If IBM InfoSphere QualityStage is already installed, select	IBM InfoSphere QualityStage Module for U.S. Address Certification
If you want to install IBM InfoSphere QualityStage and IBM InfoSphere QualityStage Module for U.S. Address Certification at the same time, select	IBM InfoSphere QualityStage IBM InfoSphere QualityStage Module for U.S. Address Certification

Install the client tier on the Windows client computers:
1. From the product CD or the downloaded image of IBM InfoSphere QualityStage Module for U.S. Address Certification, go to the Payloads directory.
2. Copy the USAC directory into the is-client\payloads directory of the InfoSphere Information Server client installation image.
3. Go to the is-client directory of the InfoSphere Information Server client installation image.
4. Double-click the setup.exe file.
5. Follow the prompts to complete the installation. When you reach the Product Selection page of the installation program, select:
  - IBM InfoSphere QualityStage
  - IBM InfoSphere QualityStage Module for U.S. Address Certification

Results

The IBM InfoSphere QualityStage Module for U.S. Address Certification and the appropriate library files are installed in the default directories. You can also find it listed in the InfoSphere Information Server Version.xml file. After the installation, the CASS stage is a stage type that can be used on the IBM InfoSphere DataStage and QualityStage Designer client canvas.

If you installed IBM InfoSphere QualityStage in addition to the module, configure the InfoSphere QualityStage software as necessary.
