Reviewing system requirements and release notes

Ensure that all computers meet the hardware and software requirements for the product modules that you want to install.

Note: If you are using the InfoSphere® Information Server installation program to install the DB2 database system on a Solaris operating system, the DB2 prerequisite checker is unable to verify the Solaris operating system level. Therefore, you must verify the level yourself by referring to the system requirements and running the following command: cat /etc/*release.
